Verra Mobility Privacy Policy

American Traffic Solutions, Inc., doing business as Verra Mobility (“Verra Mobility,” “us,” or “we”) is committed to protecting your privacy when you use our Verra Mobility website (the “Services”). In this privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) we explain how and why we collect your information, what we do with it and what controls you have over our use of it when you download, install, access, or use the Services.

This Privacy Policy applies only to information we collect in the Services. This Privacy Policy DOES NOT apply to information that we collect offline or on any other Verra Mobility apps or websites, including websites you may access through the Services. Our websites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information on or through them.

From time to time, we add or change functions, features or products to our Services. This, and our commitment to protecting the privacy of your personal information, may result in periodic changes to this Privacy Policy. As a result, please remember to refer back to this Privacy Policy regularly to review any amendments.

Your Acceptance of these Privacy Policy Terms

If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download or use the Services. By downloading or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

What data do we collect and how do we use it?

Information You Provide to Us. When you use the Services, we may ask you to provide information by which you may be personally identified, such as your name, mailing address, email address, notice number or PIN (“personal information”).

If you contact us via email regarding a violation, we will collect your name, email address, and any other information you provide us.

If you participate in one of our surveys, we may collect additional information about you.

Automatic Information Collection. When you access, and use the Services, we may use technology to automatically collect:

  • (i) Usage Details. When you access and use the Services, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the Services, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the Services.
  • (ii) Device Information. We may collect information about your device and internet connection, including the device’s unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, mobile network information, and a device’s telephone number.
  • (iii) Stored Information and Files. The Services may access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device.
  • (iv) Location Information. The Services collects real-time information about the location of your device.

When you use the Services certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may include your internet service provider, mobile device manufacturer or mobile service provider.

If you do not want us to collect this information, do not download or use the Services.

Verra Mobility collects and processes information about you to:

  • (i) Provide you with the Services and content, and any other information, products or services that you request from us.
  • (ii) Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • (iii) Notify you when Services updates are available, and of changes to any products or services we offer or provide though it.

The usage information we collect helps us to improve our Services and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:

  • (i) Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
  • (ii) Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Services according to your individual interests.
  • (iii) Speed up your searches.
  • (iv) Recognize you when you use the Services.

With Whom is the Information Shared?

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual without restriction.

In addition, we may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide:

  • (i) To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • (ii) To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business, including payment processors.
  • (iii) To any third party affiliated with your notice number, such as an issuing authority or Verra Mobility customer.
  • (iv) To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Verra Mobility’ assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Verra Mobility about our Services users is among the assets transferred.
  • (v) For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
  • (vi) With your consent.
  • (vii) To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government, third party or regulatory and subpoena request.
  • (viii) To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including in connection with the provision of the Services, any terms of use applicable to the Services, and for billing and collection.
  • (ix) If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Verra Mobility, our customers or others.

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. In some cases you can choose whether or not to allow the Services to collect and use certain information. If you block the use of any information, some parts of the Services may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

Do Not Track Requests

Your mobile device may allow you to adjust your browser settings so that “do not track” requests are sent to the websites or applications you visit. Verra Mobility does not currently respond to do not track signals.


Verra Mobility places a great importance on the security of all information associated with our customers. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of customer data under our control. While we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where you have been given a notice number and PIN to access the Services, you are responsible for keeping this access and authorization information confidential. Do not share your access or other authorization information with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.

Security of Credit Card and Bank Account Information

For online payments Verra Mobility and its customers use the payment services of one or more payment processors. We do not process, record or maintain your credit card or bank account information. For more information on how payments are handled, or to understand the data security and privacy afforded such information, please refer to the website of the payment processor.
